Formed early this year Clouds in Contrast are a five piece melodic metal band coming from the east midlands. They have already made quite an impression on the music scene and have already headlined their first festival. Their first five track demo (with an intro) shows this band has the capability to go far. Songs such as ‘Welcome Home’ is one of the milder songs with more singing then screams, it stands out and leaves a lasting impression. Influences for this band come from bands such as ‘As I lay Dying, It Dies Today and The Ghost Inside’. ‘Rush in Rule out’ and ‘Let Shake Hands on Ruin’ (Which they currently have a video for) is the bands signature sound filled with harsh screaming, growls and harmonies. They are currently working on an E.P. which is due for release in early 2012, if the demo is anything to go by the E.P. is sure to be filled with the heavy sound of fast riffing and distorted guitars and double bass drums. Metalcore fans will love these guys.
