The Darkness back on the Road
The Darkness confirm festival Slot in Summer.
The Darkness have confirmed that they are to play this year’s Download Festival.
The band, who announced their reunion last week, are to use the slot to launch their comeback.
An original line-up The Darkness, featuring Ed Graham on drums, will sub-headline the festival’s Friday night, with Def Leppard taking the stage directly after the reformed high-kicking glam rockers.
Also added to the Donington line-up we have Funeral For A Friend, Framing Hanley, Hyro Da Hero, Plain White T’s and Kvelertak.
The ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ stars split five years ago amid rows over frontman Justin Hawkins’s drug addiction, which he has now recovered from.
Def Leppard headline the opening night on Friday, June 10 at Donington Park, Derby, and The Darkness will be special guests.
System of a Down and Linkin Park are to headline Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Tickets are on sale now for Download, which takes place from June 10 to June 12.
